Cashier – Primary Care Facility
Job Purpose
Responsible for accurate and efficient handling of patient payments, billing transactions, and cashiering activities while providing courteous and professional service to PCF patients.
Key Responsibilities
• Process patient payments, receipts, refunds, and other financial transactions accurately.
• Operate the POS/cashiering system and maintain proper transaction records.
• Verify charges and coordinate with the PCF team regarding billing concerns.
• Maintain accurate daily cash counts and submit required cash and transaction reports.
• Ensure proper handling, safekeeping, and turnover of cash and payment documents.
• Provide courteous and patient-centered service to all patients and customers.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
• Follow PCF policies, cash-handling procedures, and applicable internal controls.
• Report discrepancies, unusual transactions, and operational concerns promptly to the Branch Manager.
• Perform other cashiering and administrative duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
• At least Senior High School graduate; college graduate preferred.
• Cashiering, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cash handling and POS systems.
• Accurate, trustworthy, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient- and customer-oriented.

To support the operational requirements of our Primary Care Facilities (PCFs), the following qualifications shall be observed for the Cashier position:
Job Qualifications:
1. At least Senior High School graduate; college graduate is preferred.
2. Previous experience in cashiering, retail, or customer service is preferred.
3. Basic knowledge of cash handling, POS systems, and payment processing.
4. Must be accurate, trustworthy, organized, and detail-oriented.
5. Must demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Must be customer- and patient-oriented and able to work effectively in a healthcare environment.
